Welcome to Cairo

Your Egyptian adventure begins the moment you land. A dedicated member of our team will be waiting for you at Cairo International Airport to escort you through arrivals formalities and transfer you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Your first evening is entirely your own — rest, explore the surroundings, or simply soak in the atmosphere of one of the world's great cities.
🏨 Jaz Pyramids Resort, Cairo — 1 night 🍽 Meals: Not included
Day 2

The Pyramids of Giza & the Ancient Necropolis of Sakkara

This is the day most travelers dream about before coming to Egypt. Your private guide will lead you across the Giza Plateau, where the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus have stood for over four and a half millennia. Few experiences in the world compare to standing at their base and comprehending the sheer scale of what ancient Egyptians achieved. From Giza, you will visit the Great Sphinx — sentinel of the desert for thousands of years — and the Valley Temple, where the mummification rituals of pharaohs once took place. The afternoon takes you to Sakkara, where Egypt's story of pyramid-building truly began. Here stands the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world's oldest large-scale stone structure, surrounded by mastaba tombs that offer an intimate window into the earliest chapters of Egyptian civilization.

Day 3

Fly South to Aswan | The High Dam & the Island Temple of Philae

After breakfast, you transfer to Cairo Airport for a short domestic flight south to Aswan — a city of extraordinary beauty where the Nile narrows and the desert presses close to the water's edge. Your first stop is the Aswan High Dam, a defining achievement of modern Egypt that reshaped the country's geography and secured its water supply. The scale of the project is genuinely impressive. The highlight of the afternoon, however, is Philae Temple. Reached by a short motorboat ride across the reservoir, this magnificent temple dedicated to the goddess Isis was painstakingly relocated stone by stone to its current island setting — a remarkable feat of international preservation.

Day 4

Cast Off on the Nile | Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples

Today your Nile cruise begins, and life slows to the rhythm of the river. As the vessel glides northward, your first destination is Kom Ombo Temple — a uniquely fascinating sanctuary dedicated simultaneously to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile deity, and Horus, the falcon god. The symmetrical design of the temple, with its twin halls and twin sanctuaries, is unlike anything else in Egypt. Continuing downstream, you arrive at Edfu and the Temple of Horus — arguably the most complete ancient temple in Egypt. Walking through its towering pylons and columned halls gives you a vivid sense of what these sacred spaces must have looked and felt like in their prime. The evenings on the Nile are among the most peaceful moments of the entire journey — the deck, a quiet sunset, and the timeless landscape drifting past.

Day 5

Luxor | Karnak & Luxor Temples

Arriving in Luxor is arriving at the heart of ancient Egypt. This city, known in antiquity as Thebes, was once the most powerful city on earth, and the monuments here are on a scale that is almost beyond comprehension. Karnak Temple is the crown jewel — a vast religious complex developed over more than a thousand years by successive pharaohs, each adding their own halls, obelisks, and sanctuaries. The Great Hypostyle Hall, with its forest of 134 massive columns, is one of the most breathtaking architectural spaces ever created. As the afternoon light softens, you visit Luxor Temple — a more intimate monument at the center of the modern city. It was once connected to Karnak by the grand ceremonial Avenue of Sphinxes, sections of which have been spectacularly restored.

Day 6

The West Bank of Luxor | Valley of the Kings & Temple of Hatshepsut

Cross to the West Bank of the Nile and enter a landscape that the ancient Egyptians considered the realm of the dead — and which today contains some of the most extraordinary archaeological sites on the planet. The Valley of the Kings is where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in elaborately decorated tombs cut deep into the limestone hills. Among the tombs you will visit is that of the young king Tutankhamun, whose legendary burial treasures were discovered here in 1922 by Howard Carter. From the Valley, your guide takes you to the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari — a colonnaded masterpiece rising in three elegant terraces against sheer cliffs. The day ends at the Colossi of Memnon — two immense seated statues that have stood guard over the West Bank plain for over three thousand years.

Day 7

Journey to Hurghada & the Red Sea

After the intensity and richness of the past few days, today offers a welcome change of pace. Your private vehicle transfers you from Luxor across the Eastern Desert to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast — a journey through dramatic desert scenery. Check in to your beachfront hotel, change into something comfortable, and let the sound of the sea do the rest.
🏨 Hurghada Red Sea Hotel 🍽 Meals: Breakfast
Day 8

A Day of Pure Leisure in Hurghada

Today belongs entirely to you. Hurghada sits on one of the world's finest stretches of coral reef coastline, and the Red Sea here is warm, calm, and extraordinarily clear. Swim, snorkel, or dive among the coral gardens. Take a boat trip to one of the offshore islands. Or simply settle into a sun lounger and do absolutely nothing at all — you have earned it.
🏨  Hurghada Red Sea Hotel 🍽  Meals: Breakfast
Day 9

Fly Back to Cairo | The Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, transfer to Hurghada Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo. The afternoon is dedicated to one of the most significant museum openings of the twenty-first century: the Grand Egyptian Museum. Located near the Giza Plateau, this extraordinary institution houses the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts — over one hundred thousand objects spanning every period of Egyptian history. The complete treasures of Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, are displayed here in full for the first time. It is a fitting final chapter to everything you have witnessed on this journey.
🏨  Cairo — 1 night 🍽  Meals: Breakfast
Day 10

Farewell & Departure

After a final breakfast at your hotel, your private transfer takes you to Cairo International Airport, where you will depart with memories — and perhaps a new understanding of human history — that will last a lifetime.
🏨 🍽  Meals: Breakfast
